Privacy Notice
QRNEC — Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition
Last updated: 31 May 2026
This notice explains how the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship (QRCE), which organizes QRNEC, collects and uses your personal data when you apply to and take part in the competition. Please read it before submitting your application.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship (QRCE) is responsible for your personal data in connection with QRNEC. If you have any questions about this notice or about your data, contact us at info@qrce.org.
2. What we collect
When you apply, we collect: identity and contact details (your name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, and nationality); a copy of your national ID, used to verify your eligibility; background information such as your education, university, occupation, and professional experience; the same details for any co-founders you add to your team; your project and application content; and, where relevant, your company registration certificate and any QRNEC bootcamp attendance certificate.
3. Why we use it
We use your data to review your eligibility and assess your application; to run the program you take part in (bootcamp, jury evaluation, mentorship, and incubation); to communicate with you about your application and the program; and to report on and coordinate the program with our partners and donors.
4. Our legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box when you submit your application. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8 below). Withdrawing it does not affect processing already carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Who we share it with
Your national ID is used only by QRCE to verify your eligibility. We do not share it with any third party.
Your contact information (name, email, phone) is shared with our program partners and donors for program coordination, events, and reporting.
We use trusted service providers to operate the platform — to host the website and database and to send emails. They process your data only on our instructions and not for their own purposes.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfer
Some of our partners, donors, or service providers may be located outside Jordan, and your data may be stored or processed abroad as a result. Where your data is transferred outside Jordan, we take steps to keep it protected.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your application data for 5 years. We chose this period because the competition rules allow a bootcamp-attendance exemption based on participation within the last five years, which we verify against your attendance certificate. After this period we delete or anonymize your data, unless we are required to keep it longer by law or by a donor or audit obligation.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@qrce.org and we will action your request.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encrypted storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The date shown at the top indicates when it was last updated.
